The Wine
In Colbertaldo, in the Soprapiana zone, one can still stroll in a woods of centuries-old oak and chestnut, once known as Bosco di Gica. Bosco di Gica Valdobbiadene DOCG Brut, a versatile sparkling wine that embodies an appealing balance between a subtly aromatic nose and a dry palate, which makes it one of Adami’s most prized wines.
Tasting notes
The wine is pale gold in color. Flat mousse with fine and persistent bubbles. Ample intensity in the nose with fresh fruit notes of yellow apple, peach, wisteria (glicine) and acacia flowers. On the palate rich and intense notes of fruits, consistent and ample, soft and fresh. Good wine weight and long finish, the notes on the palate are consistent with the nose. Armonius and elegant.
Pairing recommendations from the producer
This wine pairs well with many italian typical dishes, specially the risottos either with seafood (risotto ai frutti di mare), or wild mushrooms (funghi porcini). It is an optimal support wine for cold cuts of salami and prosciutto crudo and also is great to pair with vegetables dishes like asparagus and radicchio letuce. Indeed, the light sourness of these vegetables enhance the flavors of this prosecco. It is also a great pairing wine for the Treviso regional specialty salty pie filled with ricotta, carrots and green peas.
