Il Bruciato was born in 2022 in one of the most difficult vintages of the estate, with the purpose of show and tell, trought a modern style, the unique terroir of the the Bolgheri appelation. The carefully selected varietals Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, come from vineyards located  on soils with an ample geological variety, capables of producing wines of great complexity.
Winemaking
The grapes were picked by hand and immediately taken to the cellar for scrupulous handselection prior to destemming and crushing. Fermentation and maceration took place in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation took place in oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. The wine was barrel aged for seven months, followed by an additional four months in bottle before release.
Tasting notes
Il Bruciato 2020 is an intense ruby red color. Its nose is intense and enticing with notes of currants, blackberries, delicate hints of vanilla and sweet spices. Excellent harmony on the palate where a fruity finish dominates and imparts good persistence and easy drinkability. Rounded velvety tannins allows for ageing for 3-5 years.
Terroir 
Alluvial origin soils,  with clay-sand and clay-lime mix and presence of so-called "scheletro" or bolgherese agglomerate.
